Wind Symphony

Wind Symphony is the advanced level performance ensemble in the West Forsyth Band program and will perform a variety of high quality band literature during the school year. Students at this level are expected to spend adequate time practicing outside of class to prepare for rehearsals and assessments. This band will give 4 home concerts each year and perform at the GMEA District 9 Large Group Performance Evaluation in March. Students will attend our annual symphonic band camp in late early February. Private instruction is highly recommended. Participation in GMEA District Honor Band and All-State Auditions are strongly encouraged. Students are selected for the Wind Symphony by audition and director recommendation only.
